Gabapin 100 Tablet

Gabapin 100 Tablet is a medicine used to treat neuropathic pain (nerve pain). It works in different ways to stop seizures (epilepsy) and to block pain messages reaching the brain.

Gabapin 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food and it may be used for a short time or long-term. If you have epilepsy you may be taking it for many years. If you have nerve pain the treatment may be shorter. The dose depends on what you are taking it for and will be adjusted for you and your condition, probably starting at a low dose and working up to one which suits you. Follow your doctor’s instructions. Take this medicine at the same time(s) each day to get the most benefit. It takes at least a few weeks for the medicine to work. Continue taking it until your doctor tells you to stop. If you have epilepsy, missing doses may trigger a seizure.

The side effects of Gabapin 100 Tablet are usually mild and go away by themselves. The most common ones are sleepiness, dizziness, and fatigue. Other side effects include viral infection, impaired coordination, nausea, vomiting and swelling (edema) in your hands and feet. There are many others, some serious, but most do not need medical attention. Talk to your doctor about potential side effects and ways you might prevent or cope with them. A small number of people taking the medicine have had suicidal thoughts. You may also get side effects after stopping the treatment.

Before taking the medicine you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Gabapin 100 Tablet can usually be mixed safely with other medicines but some drugs (including antacids and alcohol) do affect the way it works and can increase the chance of side effects.
